St. Paul Lutheran Church is located on U.S. Highway 190 West in Jasper, Texas, on the south side of the road, across from the WalMart Supercenter. When coming from the east, you'll drive past the church, and make a U-turn across the grassy median in order to come in the driveway. This map shows the church just east of Highway 63, Rosewood, and Dale as they intersect Highway 190 on the west side of town. Mapquest will guide you all the way to town.
Come inside and join us. Times may change, so please check ahead by calling 409-384-8317. Closed Communion is the practice of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, so please speak with the pastor prior to a service in which you'd like to receive Holy Communion.
Organizations within the congregation include the Ladies' Guild, which is affiliated with the International Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).
Men's Club normally meets at the church, sometimes at the home of one of its members. A Vacation Bible School is held each summer. St. Paul Lutheran is a member of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce. If you'd like to find out more, or would like to verify service times, you can call St. Paul at 409-384-8317.
Jasper is a town of just under 10,000 people located in the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas, and is the county seat of Jasper County. It was named an Outdoor Life "Top Twenty" city, based in part on its proximity to Lake Sam Rayburn. The community is growing, and has become a center for tourism, as well as for retirement. Several other industries, including forestry, are active in the area.
In keeping with the outdoor nature of the area, St. Paul and Faith
Lutheran Church in Woodville have joined over the years in sponsoring an Easter Sunrise
service at Martin Dies State
Park, on the shores of B.A. Steinhagen Lake.
