<> Ask the Pastor The Rev. Walter Snyder The word is in and "Ask the Pastor" is out, at least in the Jasper Sunday Newsboy. The paper has decided to keep its local emphasis, and my going to Missouri removes me from the "local" category. This Sunday marks the last column that I will write for the newspaper. However, the internet column will continue. For local readers with internet access, you can start getting the articles by sending email to or to . However, you will not receive anything for a few weeks, since it will take me a while to get moved, unpacked, and ready to go while stepping into a larger congregation and a Lutheran day school. Once the Snyder family is settled in, Pastor Snyder will again sit down at the keyboard and attempt to answer the questions sent his way. I'd like to thank Newsboy publisher Willis Webb for the opportunity to spend almost four years with the citizens of southeast Texas through this forum. I'd also like to thank the various Newsboy staff who've typeset, edited, and the like. Special thanks go to all who took the time to read and think about what I said each week. I know that many of you haven't always agreed with me, but we've often had a lot to talk about as the topics have rolled past. The most thanks go to our loving God, who blessed me with more than seven years as pastor of Faith and St. Paul Lutheran Churches in Woodville and Jasper. He also allowed me to get to know so many wonderful people in the area. My family and I will never forget your many kindnesses.
